Field View is a Care Home providing residential care for older people and also a specialist day care facility.

How can you apply to attend?

A Social Worker can refer you to our Day Centre for attendance. The Day Care Coordinator will then visit your home in order to meet you, tell you about the Day Centre, learn more about your interests and discuss any concerns that you may have.

Following that visit you will be invited to Field View for lunch and to look around this will enable you and/or your carer the opportunity to get a feel for the home and the facilities on offer. Your Social Worker will discuss with you how many days a week you wish to attend.

Transport

We recommend the local dial-a-ride or local taxis. The Day Care Coordinator can help arrange these for you.

Daily Activities

Care is provided by the Day Care Coordinator with the support of the Care Team. Your day in Field View starts with your arrival followed by refreshments and an invitation to join in the morning activities. We have a varied range of activities including discussions, singing, dominoes, quizzes, etc. all dependent on your likes and dislikes.

We offer a full midday meal cooked on-site with fresh local produce. Our menu is varied and seasonal. In the afternoon you will be invited to a range of activities including Bingo, cinema etc. again dependent on your personal interests. Field View also provides a Bathing service should you require to take advantage of this.

We try very hard to make the day as full and enjoyable as possible but if some people just wish to take a back seat and relax, then we respect their decision to do so.

What are our costs?

Costs will be discussed with your social worker following an assessment, please contact us for further advice.
